LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP

This week will be an intense leadership training experience for high school students. Learn valuable skills that will serve you in school, at work and in your youth group: communication, conflict management, Bible study leadership, and lots more. Of course, we'll have lots of exciting activities such as canoeing, sailing, swimming, hiking and sports. Faith conversations and time for reflection allow the participants to explore their faith journey among peers. This intensive week of group building will also include daily team-building exercises on our ropes course! Rates listed are if fee is paid in full by the end date listed.

SIT (Staff in Training)

Are you interested in working at camp? Do you enjoy working with children and helping shape their personal and spiritual lives? Do you have a sense of adventure and love the outdoors? Well then, the SIT program is for you! Attend the Leadership Training Camp, and then stay a few extra days to shadow our staff and take your leadership learning to a new level. Following the SIT program, you have the option, with your parents consent, to return for another week as a volunteer to work side by side with our summer support staff or counselors. You may volunteer at either Luther Springs or on the road with one of our day camp teams. Those who attend Leadership Training, SIT, and return to volunteer will receive a $50 rebate after serving the volunteer week. The theme and structure of this week will focus on assisting the participating congregations with their programmatic needs, including their confirmation education. Bring your whole confirmation class and catechist. The small group times will be co-led by an adult from your church and an LOMF staff member. Please contact the Program Director for more on this exciting program - space is very limited and must be arranged in advance of registration! All adults must participate in pre-camp meetings with the Program Director to discuss roles and curriculum planning. Rates listed are if fee is paid in full by the end date listed.

This week-long resident camp is an experience that campers never forget! Campers spend their days swimming, canoeing, hiking and learning about their faith through Bible study and reflection.
