LUTHER SPRINGS CAMP, CONFERENCE AND RETREAT CENTER

In addition to our many programmed camp and retreat offerings, Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Florida operates Luther Springs Camp, Conference and Retreat Center as a rental facility, available to groups from church congregations, schools and other organizations.

Located near Gainesville, north of Ocala, the new Luther Springs facilities are comfortable and beautiful. In addition to all-new construction, the camp site is set in the midst of mature woodlands, lakes and prairies. The waterfront area is perfect for relaxing, canoeing and boating. The outdoor chapel and “Way of the Cross” devotional sites are inspirational areas for meditation and worship.

The Luther Springs facilities are available August 15 through May 15 for family, youth, church, or council retreat groups. Call the LOMF office for detailed pricing and availability.

Kinports Retreat Center offers a comfortable lounge with a gas fireplace and meeting and eating space for up to 80 people. Meals are provided by food service staff for groups of 10 or more. Large windows and a screened-in porch with rockers offer a great view of the woods.

Frances Stavros Pool is a terrific new place for our campers and guests to relax, cool off and have fun! Opened in the summer of 2005, the pool has been a hit with camps and retreat groups alike! In addition to the pool, The Ruth Summers Complex also includes the brand new McPhail Bathhouse.

The Morgan/Westfall Pavilion is a large covered area ideal for worship, meetings, games and day use. The concrete floor is appropriate for all occasions. The addition of a shuffleboard and four-square area along with a ping-pong table, canteen and rest rooms make this a great facility for any group outing.

St Peter House, the first of three retreat center housing units, has six motel-style bedrooms. Each room is carpeted, heated and air-conditioned, and has a queen bed, bunk bed, and private bath (linens provided).

Morgan Village Cabins feature sleeping accommodations for up to 11 people. Each of the four cabins is carpeted, heated and air-conditioned, and has restroom and shower amenities. Linens are available for an extra charge. The cabins are ideal for all types of retreats!

The Campground, with RV and tent sites, can be enjoyed year round. All RV sites are equipped with water and electricity hookups, four have sewer; tent sites are primitive. A full service shower house, cooking grills and fire rings are convenient to all campsites. (Check with host for campfire restrictions.) An RV dump station is on site. All sites are wooded. The Kinports Retreat Center is available for meetings or rental (with advance reservation) to groups using the campground.
